Milling, slabs and more...

Milling:

This year we expanded our capabilities by purchasing a WoodMizer LT40, a 84" chainsaw mill and some other large equipment, and we are now able to mill our own wood. We are milling mostly reclaimed logs from downed trees that some local tree experts are bringing us. This lumber is being used in a lot of or current projects as well as for sale to local contractors and other woodworkers.

In addition, since this is a portable saw mill, we are able to transport it offsite and mill wood for our customers right at their own locations.

slabLive edge slabs:

We have recently cut about 50 new live edge cherry and highly figured curly/ambrosia maple slabs, and a added them to our inventory. We also have a bunch more on the way, including black and English walnut, sycamore, figured box elder and more maple and cherry. These are going to make some extraordinary dining, coffee, or sofa tables. These are gorgeous specimens! Give us a call if you are interested in having us build you something or if you want to purchase one of these slabs our some lumber for one of your own projects.

Shows:

Come visit us at our next Countryside Artisans show Oct 12, 13, and 14 from 10:00 to 5:00 each day. We will be demonstrating a variety of woodworking all three days, including how we make slabs and lumber.
